Lovoo is one of the apps managed by ParshipMeet Group which falls under their ‘dating’ category as opposed to their ‘video’ category.

Although there is a web/desktop version of the app, our testers did notice some layout problems. For example, it is impossible to set your height because the slider for this stretches off the screen.

Aside from letting you see likes, upgrading to premium gives you unlimited likes, makes you more visible in matching, gives you more ice-breakers (send a chat message before a match – you get 4 per day for free, it seems), lets you look back at likes you gave, advanced chance to meet new members, blocks ads and allows you to hide from other users (go incognito).

If you see that there are a lot of potential matches for you on Lovoo, a premium subscription might be worth the price. They fall into the range that we consider fair and they open up many more possibilities for you to improve your chances.

Profile Creation

Lovoo (March 2023) does not feature comprehensive profiles - that is, you are quite limited in what information you can include or filter. This makes matching a lot more hit-and-miss and means you have to get some small talk out of the way with new matches. This might have been avoided if the profiles were more comprehensive.

Searching / Filtering

When it comes to finding your match on Lovoo (March 2023) you are not able to search for them, rather profiles are presented to you in a roulette-style card stack and you choose to either like or pass on each person. The first filter you will likely use is the location filter. Even as a free user, you are able to edit the location that you want to match in.

Once you have found the profiles you are interested in, you are able to view the photos of those members as a free user.

Sending / Receiving Likes

Lovoo (March 2023) operates with the familiar dating app system where you match with other users when you have both given each other a like.On Lovoo (March 2023), dependent on your membership type, you can message anyone. You do not have to make a match based on mutual likes to start a conversation.Sending likes is free, however there are limits to how many you can send.
