We can’t be sure this one even works at the moment.

The site claims to be available as a web app and Apple App but it is unavailable for Android. The copyright of the website is shown as 2018… hard to tell if it has been updated or not since then.

The AppYou dating app is a replication of the content in SingleTreffen. Once you have joined one of the sites, you are seeing the identical content presented on the other. SingleTreffen was available long before AppYou. It appears that when KM Line developed an Apple App for their SingleTreffen site, they tool the opportunity to try a rebranding exercise.

AppYou is a German based/focussed dating site. Unfortunately, this is a site where you must pay (men) as a premium member to read or write e-mails. Woman are free.

At OnlineDatingHQ, we do not recommend using any site/app that only enables communication for paying members because this system is famously used to trap you by presenting wonderful profiles and/or messages from fake members. Once you have paid, you write messages only to never have replies or chat forever with someone who is never going to meet you.
Furthermore, AppYou requires an old-fashioned German cancellation of subscription with 14 days notice prior to the end of your subscription. If you don’t cancel in time, you will be automatically renewed for another duration matching that which you had subscribed for.

A major weakness in the registration process is that you don’t get to choose a password. Once you have confirmed your e-mail you need to log out and log in again and say you have forgotten your password so you are sent a reset link.

Profile Creation

Profiles at AppYou (March 2023) include tags. These give you the chance to show a few of your interests or a little about your lifestyle - or learn those of other daters.

Searching / Filtering

On AppYou (March 2023), - depending on your membership type - you are to search through and filter profiles based on your own criteria. This is great because it means you are not limited to just seeing random profiles that you really may not be interested in anyway. The first filter you will likely use is the location filter.

Sending / Receiving Likes

On AppYou (March 2023), dependent on your membership type, you can message anyone. You do not have to make a match based on mutual likes to start a conversation.Sending likes is free. If you are a premium member, you can see who has liked you.

Matching Aides

AppYou (March 2023) doesn't include any features to aide in matching, such as: Curated Matches, Compatibility Quizzes/Scores or a Question & Answer system.

Messaging

In AppYou (March 2023), you need to have a premium subscription to send messages and read messages. At OnlineDatingHQ, we don't normally recommend using apps that have this limitation because they are often filled with profiles that manipulate you into paying to read messages - which turn out to be fake users anyway. There are exceptions to this rule but be wary and read some reviews here or elsewhere online first.
Read receipts are not - or may not - be available.
